We are advancing what Indigenous design can be - pushing the envelope and past preconceptions with an obsession with craftsmanship and intentionality in everything. Every decision, from stitching to signage, is thoughtful and deliberate.
We are a Design House centered in heritage and sustainability, not trend-chasing. We use natural and unique materials (leathers, woods) and high quality metals. Our aesthetic fuses tradition and minimalism—no clutter. We are slow fashion.
Each product is part of a language learning journey—for us, and by extension, you. Every item is named in Dane-zaa Zaage. Language and design are tools of reclamation, not just decoration. You are an integral part of the act of preserving something real.
Made to be handed down, repaired, used —not thrown away. Our pieces focus on longevity—physically and spiritually. Ohtisii creates timeless design with embedded stories. Beautiful, yes—but also built for real life.
We started selling at local markets in Edmonton - talking directly with people who were close and cared about what we cared about. In time, we found our people - and we found the time to share as well as listen.
The stories, the journies involved - they’re all very real. They are so very empowering.
